Position Vacant: Sales Consultant
We are currently advertising for a new SALES CONSULTANT to join our existing sales team.
Our aim will be to find an enthusiastic person that is eager to learn, develop a career, and grow with our business.
This is a full time position and will involve week-end work.

If you are considering a career in real estate, it is important to first gain some understanding of the industry. Some books that might help are:

Please don’t ignore this step. We see this as the start of a long term relationship between the successful applicant and our business – so we don’t want you to start and then discover the real estate isn’t for you. The better you understand the industry before you apply, the less likely it is that you will head down the wrong path. You don’t have to read these books necessarily, but we will be interested in knowing what reading or research you have done about the industry, before applying.
Do You Have Real Estate Experience?
Either way you are welcome to apply. Nelson Bay Real Estate adopts a team approach to our sales. This is very different to how some real estate offices operate. Training is provided. We have an office listing presentation, buyer management system and negotiation procedures. For new people this will help you perform at an advanced level quickly – for experienced people it will lift you to new heights and will keep the right person interested in their career. The feeling of knowing that you are good at what you do is hard to beat.
Before applying for the position, please consider what type of career you are looking for. Learning our systems will involve quite a lot of reading, study and practice. Whether you are an experienced agent or entering the industry, the successful applicant’s values must align with our own.
The successful applicant will have completed (as a minimum requirement) the necessary industry training to obtain a Real Estate Certificate.
Talk to your partner and your close family.
Have you got the support of your family? Real estate can be very demanding, especially for the first couple of years. The rewards can be terrific, but this a very competitive industry and you will need to work hard to achieve good results. It is important to be sure that your family understands and supports your new career.
